Hi all
DC, hugs.
Tina, lol, poor you.
Hugs also to Molly, LW, Jools & Unclebryn.
I started to defrost the freezer, hubby decided to take over, gawd knows why, it's not like I can do anything else whilst he's doing it as he needs me on hand to pass towels, cloths etc, oh an a round of applause when he's finished!
Still I made a list of the freezer contents & still have loads of food in, so will only shop for milk & bread 'til the end of the month, still almost 3 weeks to payday & some work mates are really panicking.
Hugs Hester

Hi all
Hoppy Birdday to those celebrating.
Dandy candy (((HUGS))) I can't help re jury service I'm afraid; the one time I was called, I was excused on medical grounds after my GP wrote and said my mental health was too frail to do it. I do hope you feel a bit better soon; please eat something, if only a bit of toast and jam.:oLW I went out to a friend's house last night, there were lots of us there but her dog, a beautiful working cocker spaniel walked straight over to me and spent the night either at my feet or on my lap, it made me feel really special!Bitsy_Beans wrote: »Luna's had her stitches checked and all is OK. She has them out a week today. Having second thoughts about a dog. Would really need a young puppy and the most suitable ones are in deepest Wales which quite frankly I don't have the time and energy to go and see. Might let it lie for a while, being sensible housetraining a puppy whilst trying to sell the house might not be the best idea.hilstep2000 wrote: »Tina malteser I gave up alcohol a while ago, (It upsets my MS) and can honestly say I feel better, and don't miss it!
Plumbers have been and finished off the shower, and it's really nice.:T I'm glad I didn't let them come yesterday though, I really wouldn't have coped. As it was, I got called through for my opinion on a couple of points, but then after I'd given my two-pennyworth, I had to shut myself away in the lounge, as I was getting shaky again. Jessie was very good; she wanted to know what was going on of course, but she didn't make a nuisance of herself. One of them also wanted details of the dog-sitting franchise, as he said he and his family go away every Xmas, and always have trouble getting someone to take care of his dog.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
We had snow this morning and then it changed to rain for a while and now it is dry but bitterly cold. I have just finished knitting a neck warmer for myself, not before time it seems
Had to go to the market to get some potatoes and bought some kale as well bargain at 70p for a carrier bag fullso that will do as the veg for tonight's and tomorrow's dinner with enough left to make some kale and mozzarella ravioli for Monday - I know it should be ricotta, but I don't have any, so mozzarella it is
Happy Birthday to elona and wuvvies DD's and beths hubbie x
Had a strange phonecall from my friend 2 doors down asking if I was ok and said that she had a terrible dream that I was at deaths door, DD had dyed her hair black and, DS was just wandering about and DH was crying:eek:
Good job I believe in reversing bad dreams or I would be more neurotic than normal

Happy Birthday Elona xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Afternoon all
Happy birthdays to various DD's and OH's!
Jools - glad you enjoyed your night out
FS - yay, glad DD's brows are growingFB if new friend can cook, then he's a "keeper" as my late DM used to say.and all veggie! Only time will tell if he is a keeper..... :rotfl:
Today I met the girls for lunch and a wander round shops, but I was a bit too tired to shop for long. So am now home on sofa resting. No plans tonight, freezer meal for tea.

Happy Birthday Elona.
Jools: A good evening by the sound of it. Well worth a morning after.
Julie: Nice to know that there are compensations to coming home. I always long to snuggle into my own bed when I've been away. Nothing like it!
Islandmaid: Your OH ate your crisps!! SHOCK. HORROR. People have been murdered for less. And quite justifiably. Hope you feel better soon.
FB: does he do ironing as well? If so, nail him!
Well, in spite of awful warnings and Islanders preparing to be snowed in for weeks, it was just as I predicted - rain. And dark as night all day.
DS brought the baby round this morning so a lovely time cuddling and playing with Mia. Have done nothing much since. Am about to go down and make some puddings for Open Arms tomorrow. Lemon Love Cake, Bread pudding and maybe Toffee Cream Tart.
The Rev has been making a casserole so heaven knows what state the kitchen is in.
Next week I think I'm going to have to give up the computer and do some real work.
Boo hoo!

I have dealt with OH appropriately - he has been set to task all day doing his tax return - I don,t think he'll be eating my crisps again any time soon

no snow here so far - am hoping it keeps away. We're off to collect our new(to us) sofa tomorrow:)
Lots of spring cleaning and decluttering of the lounge to be done too. I was ashamed of a HUGE cobweb I spotted the other day while I was chatting on the phone.:o
Take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0
