    Morning all,

We had a light dusting of snow this morning but it seems to have stopped now and what little snow we had is melting fast. I'm not keen on snow it has to be said.

Dandy-Candy sorry you feel so low. I had the same fears as you when i was summoned to do jury duty awhile back. Big hugs to you.

I had a lovely evening last night. i watched a 2 hour recording of AC/DC on live at the River Plate. I love AC/DC.

Hubby is home mithering about work. His next job is in Oxford Street, London and he really doesnt want to go but unless he finds another job in the next week or two he will have no choice.

Hopefully will be doing the grocery shopping a little later. I want to pop into Debenhams too at some point over the weekend but i might leave that till tomorrow.

I'm still feeling pretty whacked. Woke up with a sore throat, a few sniffles and a headache. Still, i could feel worse.

Oh well, i'd better do something constructive i suppose. Ive got a mountain of washing/drying to do and then theres breakfast for the men.

    Have a good day all.

    Good morning all,

Feeling much better after a reasonable sleep. Was awake at 5.30 but had slept from 10.30 last night. Hopefully will be back to normal soon.
Got up full of energy. I have cleaned through although I left it clean and tidy and put a wash on. Not too bad though as did wash up to date before I left my sons house. Have to get back into the swing of drying inside after getting used to doing a wash pegging out and it being dry thirty minutes later:eek:
Well we had a wonderful time, the wedding was beautiful, set outside in the glorious sunshine and both the bride and groom looked beautiful. I will put some photos on photo bucket later so that I can post the link.
Pleased to report I've managed to maintain my weight loss so hoping to continue to goal now I'm home. Had bacon and eggs this morning (Australian bacon is just not the same) and a cup of tea with northern water lol. It's funny what you miss, like not being able to turn the tap on and have a drink of icy cold water.
Have some ebaying to do today or tomorrow and need to visit MIL to say thank you as she's been looking after the house.

Happy birthday to Elona and wuvvies DD
Jools hope you had a good night out

  • Good morning everyone :)

Am sticking to my resolution to make today my first true OS and productive day of the year and have been busy on and off since 7am. It was a surprise to see sunshine so already have washing done and on line and second lot in machine. Living room and kitchen are cleaned. Dining room next then shopping and back to bedrooms and bathroom.

So this is just a quick flying visit to say hi and offer well wishes to sick people and pets and hugs to those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super day :)

    Hi everyone.

Glad you were able to have a nice evening, Jools

Dandy-candy, I replied to your post on the other board re jury service. Going by my husband's experience it was an interesting time, and he met some nice people on the jury from all walks of life. It'll be different to your day to day life, and sometimes a change can help to pick you up.

Just been out to do a few errands etc, rather cold out there. All the roads are salted, so looks as if snow is expected.

Got ironing to do, Thai green curry for lunch, then eBaying.

We've haven't got to go out again this weekend, although I would like to go for a walk tomorrow morning, weather permitting

    Hi all

Hugs to those who need them.

Feeling uterly fed up today, been a crap week at work, with redundancies announced, loads of people very upset, not a good start to the year, don,t know if it will effect me yet, will know more by Feb.

Did my first big shop today, spent £58 including pet food, so not too bad. Really annoyed with OH, I bought myself a packet of chicken crisps, little treat I,ve not had them for months, came home, packed the shopping away, went to the loo, came out to see OH tipping the remnents of the said crisps down his neck - is nothing bloomin sacred........

    Off to scale Mount Wash-more....

Have a fab day all xx

Cold, west and windy here, but at least no snow. I live at the top of a hill which is like the Cresta run in bad weather, and even worse when you're walking back up in the slushy stuff.
Monnogran - reminds me of a story DS tells when he lived in an International Hall of Residence a couple of years ago and was woken at 2:00am by hoards of 20-somethings mainly from Malaysia, throwing snowballs and generally being amazed. Was woken by a call from him this am as he's on his way down to NE England to meet up with friends. I'm glad, as he finds weekends difficult in his new place.
Jools, glad you had a good night. FB if new friend can cook, then he's a "keeper" as my late DM used to say.
I'm sitting here plucking up courage to go and defrost two freezers and a fridge. I'm fed up of looking for and failing to find things in the freezers and the fridge is making very strange noises, so I think it might be on the way out.
Have a heap of washing to do, but shall wait as we're forecast a better day tomorrow so may be able to get it on the line for a while.
Hugs to all. have a good saturday

:rotfl::rotfl: I've said that many a time :rotfl:
    Feel better soon x

Afternoon ladies and any gents :D

Snowing on and off here but it's not sticking so it might as well just bloody rain <rollseyes>

Luna's had her stitches checked and all is OK. She has them out a week today. Having second thoughts about a dog. Would really need a young puppy and the most suitable ones are in deepest Wales which quite frankly I don't have the time and energy to go and see. Might let it lie for a while, being sensible housetraining a puppy whilst trying to sell the house might not be the best idea.

Anyway not lots of OS (no change there ;)). Put vac round, about to start ironing I CBA to do yesterday :o
    HM pizza for tea .

    Hugs and spoons all round.

Jools glad you had a good night xx

Islandmaid hugs honey xxx it's awful when redundancies are announced, crushes morale and unsettling for all :( and I totally know what you mean about the crisps ;)

HH glad line manager is sticking up for you xx

Dandy candy hugs, hope you feel better soon xx

Elona and wuvvies happy birthday to your DDs
