  • Hi everyone

I hope you are all managing to get your lists done and stay warm!

I am really inspired by some of what you all manage to achieve - I hope to increase my list as time goes by!

    My list for today:-

    - went to town for haircut (found a cheaper hairdressers which is great!)

    - picked up most of the items I needed in poundland

    - got a cheap birthday present

    - checked bank

    - looked at/adjusted budget - payday on tuesday so I want to get it all sorted by then

    to do:-

    - food planning

    - read book

I treated myself to a food flask when I was in town - it was only £5 and I can now take soup/stews to work which will be great.

    Have a lovely day all.

    Afternoon people

    Today I:
    * used my Sainsburys voucher which saved me 10p litre on petrol = £4.50 saved
    * collected prescription (used medical exemption card) so free for me!
    * will be attempting to book a Tesco delivery for tomorrow and will use the voucher codes they gave me for some silly mistake they made
    * shall be swimming later and using the gym pass
    * will have a shower and wash hair at the gym
    * visited Co-op and managed to not go crazy in there but picked up a few reduced vegetables

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Worked 4 hours for DOUBLE-TIME!

That's £55 towards paying off my debts.

Well, £55 minus the mini-splurge in Asda (£3)

I spent 90% of my money on women, drink and fast cars. The rest I wasted. ...

If they'd settle for a Burger King would these vouchers help?

Thanks ally. I've already got those vouchers, but the nearest BK is in the city centre - around 7 miles away - whereas McD's is within walking distance so I went with the handy option.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

Incredibly easy and dead cheap! Three heaped tablespoons of Tesco value porridge oats, two level tablespoons of Tesco value dried skimmed milk and a handful of raisins!

Then just add boiling water and stir :)
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
  • Just to join in.. today i made a huge batch of parsnip soup with a recipe i found online and with leftover parsnips i found in the fridge. There will be plenty to last a good few lunchtimes!

I also did shopping today with OH and stuck to the 'list' and got a good load of shopping which didn't bust the bank.

to 2013newbie.. did you sell CD's to music magpie? i've got a huge amount of cd's i had considered trimming down a bit.. anyone else use them, worth it or waste of time?

    :p
