Go on then, name some potential issues.
Just saying it's risky and stropping off doesn't make it more believable.
So tell us mere mortals what the danger is.
Who is stropping off?
Why don't you name your kids' school in your posts? Or your town or village or club you go to?
Because it's irresponsible to give too much info out online.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is at best naive.
I think we have had this conversation before about people who posted pics of their kids on here in their swimming costumes? If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I haven't got an issue with not posting identifiable details. I've got an issue with people thinking that some stranger can grab the kid because of info given. The Op is asking someone to recommend a CM that picks up from their child's school. They would then go round and see that CM in exactly the same way they would if their next door neighbour recommended one, or the milkman or someone they started chatting to at a bus-stop. See the CM in exactly the same way anyone else employing one does, introduce CM and child to each other and then when child comes out of school they would go to the childminder that is stood in the playground waiting for them.0

As I thought!
No particular risk, just a few parents going over the top.
Glad we cleared that up.0 -

To be honest, I don't answer to you - you aren't my boss and just because you tell people they must do something, doesn't mean they jump to your commands.
It's blatantly obvious not to post personal info online. It's not over the top in the slightest. It's common sense and [even though you harrumph off] it's naive at best. Otherwise why would MSE tell people to be careful of their privacy?
Again, if you are happy to post your personal details on here to make your point, go ahead. The floor is yours. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Hi OP
I'm in Gloucestershire area; would recommend the family information service. They are great; they assist with all kinds of things. Stupid Q I know; does the school not have a breakfast and after school club attached? I didn't see the name of your school before edit so not sure what facilities they have. My DD's school operates breakfast club 7.45-8.45 and walk them to their class then after school from when the bell goes til 6pm. Most take child care vouchers too.
PS; why don't other forum members keep to the subject and take their silly unhelpful squabbling elsewhere?0 -

You stated that the OP is irresponsible for giving her child's school and saying they are desperate for child care. You also said it isn't rocket science and yet you are unable to justify why it is so obviously a risk.
I guess it's easier to say you aren't answerable to me than admit there is no real risk to the OP's child.
I haven't told anyone to do anything. Some people have told her to remove her details and you have agreed.0 -

Because, if some people had their way, there wouldn't be a subject because she'd be made to remover her post!0 -

Bestpud and Sambucus; raise your points then leave it. It's not a point scoring thread. Your squabbles have taken up best part of page 2; who wants to read all that? It's not helpful and quite disrespectful to the OP's thread.0

Bearing in mind I'm not a mind reader - I can't actually tell you what could happen. However I and many others on here know of many incidents where people have posted too much information and been caught out on this forum.
One member was getting PMs from her partner's mistress and that's how she found out he was having an affair
One member got the sack because of their postings on here after they were outed on facebook [and that's another place that you need to lock down your info]
Plenty of people have had families/colleagues/associates/partners identify them and panicked as they have given out far too much info. Otherwise why all the AEs on here?
It's not always about you jumping to conclusions, but about the back story and personal situation. Of which we do not know.
It's totally naive to put too much info on here. End of!If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
