  • Wow. Didn't expect so many replies! Thank you to everyone who has posted and offered advice.

The package was being held by Parcel Force in Norwich, but the company he originally sent the package with was called USPS.

I got Parcel Force number from saynoto0870.com so I believe it was definitely sent there. Parcel Force also confirmed that the address they had on file for the package was the incorrect one.

I recieved a message from the seller today stating that he had rang Parcel Force himself and that they said they could not tell him who picked up the package. He has also said that he would not issue me a refund but that I was welcome to open a dispute with ebay as he has a tracking number which states that it has been delivered...

Is there anything that I can do? A letter from Parcel Force stating that it was sent to a different address perhaps?

That answers the legitimacy of the courier service. USPS is the US Postal Service and Parcel Force is obviously a legitimate company.

So it looks like the seller has put the wrong house number on the package.

Unfortunately, as it stands if you opened a dispute right now - it is likely the seller would win, as he does have a tracking number as proof that the package was delivered.

So getting something from Parcel Force as proof that the package was addressed to the wrong address would definitely help your case.

The other alternative as I see it is to go after the person who has actually got the package. Do you know the house number it was delivered to?

The only thought I have is whether the USPS is as crap as our royal mail when it comes to foreign signatures? If they are and can't provide the sender with a facsimile signature on the delivery note then surely the OP will have a claim via Paypal as they expect a signature to be visible online for any items over £150.

OP try entering your tracking number on this website: https://www.usps.com/ under ' track and confirm' just to see what it says.
