Seems peculiar that if customs charges had to be paid, the phone was still collected by someone who wasn't expecting an iPhone!
Smells like a scam, esp. as the seller 'helpfully' informed you the package had been picked up.
OP seem to be a drive-by poster; really needs to give the exact details, otherwise we're all guessing.0 -
Before anyone spends too much time on this please be aware that OP has not logged back in since the day he posted originally.

Just noticed this.
You Googled your unique tracking number and it came up with a result. This would not happen with a legitimate courier service - for the tracking number to appear in the search results it would have to be physically on a webpage somewhere.
Sorry to have to say this, but this is sounding more and more like a fake courier scam.0 -

Which is a shame as if the OP came back we could advise him how to deal with that easily.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I haven't got a recent number to try this with. Could someone else try googling a tracking number to test this out?0 -
I'm not sure if this is true. I think that if Google sees a pattern of numbers and letters it is clever enough to recognise it as a Fedex, UPS, etc tracking number and point you towards that company's tracking.
Thinking about it now, you are correct - it's an old article, but this http://www.searchnewz.com/searchnewz-12-20050407GooglesSpecializedNumberSearch.html article indicates that Google recognises UPS and FedEx tracking numbers. They may well have added additional companies by now.
Obviously, without knowing which courier was used, it is impossible to say for sure whether this is the explanation. So we are really flogging a dead horse until the OP returns and provides more information.0 -

For what it's worth now, I tried Googling a recent RM SD tracking number - I got 1 result back, and on clicking on it it took me straight to RM's tracking page, with the tracking number filled in AND the tracking results showing.0 -
It's always nice when an OP returns to the forum, but doesn't bother to answer questions from the people trying to help them - or even say thanks. :cool:0
