You need to sort out your current problems before swapping ISPs, never heard of Time Talk, Check which LLU operators are available at your exchange ( Use Samknows)
Could you post your router line statistics. If unsure post make and model of your router.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • It's always best to try and sort out for current issues first before swapping.

What are their tech support saying? Have you been through any diagnostics with them?

d link wireless adsf router dsl-2640r is that what you needed to know,

samknows site has doesnt mention talk time, I phoned talktime by mistake thinking it was talktalk and they seemed a lot cheaper but reading posts on this site and the advice given I am very wary of changing without asking you for advice which I am very grateful for.

No, that is your router make and model. Sats explained here:
    http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.php#34
It's pointless switching provider if the fault is on your own line/wiring equipent, the fault will still be there regardless of provider.
Connect your router to the BT test socket behind the master socket using ethernet (not wireless) and retest.
How are you connecting-wireless or ethernet? If the former, try ethernet, and if the fault goes away, it's purely a wireless issue-not TT's problem.

From the kitz link, obtain your router stats by:-

    1. Go to http://192.168.1.1 in your browser
    2. Log into the router (default, Username: admin password: admin)
    3. From the Top Navigation, click the Status Button
    4. From the Left Hand Menu, Select "Statistics".
    5. Your line stats are displayed under the "ADSL Statistics" Section.
