I sometimes use the + button to get back up to speed gradually for that reason. But it would be easier to have a control for how aggressive the cruise control should be - perhaps more expensive cars have this?0

I get a steady 55MPG from the Octavia 1.9d, and on a recent holiday we did 2800 miles at just over 56MPG and that was doing a regular 80MPH to 90MPH on continental motorways.0

I get around 70 MPG from my Kia Rio Diesel - but then I bought it for the excellent MPG and no road tax (at the moment anyway!). If I drive carefully I can squeeze 75MPG!
I have really noticed the difference since buying it - I am visiting petrol stations much less frequently!:T0 -
2002 Corsa 1.7 Diesel - 60mpg pretty much however and wherever I drive it.
1989 Audi Coupe Quattro - I'd guess about 20mpg, so I just measure it in smiles per gallon instead.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
