Text problem

Im with orange and for some reason today my phone keeps resending the same text , so far today the same text has been sent 12 times in approx 1 hour even though my phone was switched off !
Any suggestions as to the problem , ive tried contacting orange but im having problems getting through.

If your phone was off it's clearly not your phone doing it - you'll need to contact Orange.

We used to get this with my son's phone on Orange, started suddenly, stopped just as quick.
I did hear at the time it was a network problem

im currently on hold with them but apparently it could take up to 30 mins for them to answer !

this text has now been recieved 16 times ! seems like the network has a stutter
