Wedding Car Prices – What does it cost?

Also, it may help if you say whereabouts you are, and where the wedding is.
Then posters can advise on possible costs based on experience.
My daughter got married last year and we hired two luxury cars. But the costs involved may not relate to hiring similar cars in your area.
I expect costs to be ridiculous in central London, not so bad further away from city centres etc0 -
Same as bargainbetty - we hired an old style cab, although not a black one. We had a choice of white or silver (or Irn Bru - we married in Scotland). The cost was £110 per car and they were all valeted, had white covers on the seats, flowers and ribbons etc. and the driver wore a suit. I was really chuffed with the way the cabs looked and our guests thought it was a great idea too. So it really depends what you are looking for...
Have you been to any local wedding shows? Lots of the smaller ones are free to attend and suppliers often give discounts if you book on the day. I would say, if you are struggling to find what you want on Google then definitely go to a wedding show/Fair - you get a better feel for the company when you can meet them in person too.

Nearly 6 years ago when we got married we hired a lovely old style convertible (1940's style) which was around £300.
Guess it will depend what is available local to you to see what you can get.0 -
We also hired a car. We paid about £250 for a top of the range merc for three days. Our uncle drove it to the actual ceremony and then we used it ourselves the next days - was a few years ago but we couldn't believe the price of "wedding" cars!0

?Why, Whats wrong with it?There are some good wedding car hire search portals out there that you can serch and compare prices for the best deal and you can find these by typing into google 'wedding cars'.I found a really interesting which was number one on google but can you recommend me any of the search portals you've found so far?

sorry, but is this about wedding cars or search portals??0 -
Do you need a wedding car? Can't a relative drive you to the venue, and then get a taxi to your hotel afterwards? I don't know anybody who used a "proper" wedding car.0

Well it's about both we want to shop around a little and figure it all out because we live in West Yorkshire and we want to have the best day that we can but i'm just thanking everyone for the information that I'm getting given, I didn't even know what a search portal was before this post, but now I have a lot of choices to pick from but now i'm wondering has anyone used any of these portals before?0 -

Well the point is that she wants the car I would do that but I am willing to spend a little extra for this moment because it's our first time and we have been together for 8 years now.0 -
OP - you will probably have more luck on the weddings board with your question0

I would definitely look at using a friend / relative. Ask around as well - once you get to the "friends of friends" circle there is often someone with a nice, older or unusual car, who does the odd wedding as a favour in return for a tank of petrol / few drinks etc.etc. Someone closer may do it as the wedding gift.0
