should also add that the connors test is a written assessment (circle/ticks etc...) that both the parent and teacher carry out, it then reveals how indicative ADHD is. Its not a complete diagnosis but a starting point HTH

She is bright but she does find the work challenging. The problem seems to be that she flies through the work to get it done as quickly as possible, doesn't take her time. They have said that if she tried, she would be at the top but she doesn't seem to want to. There are children in the class on much higher reading levels that she is so I don't think it's not challenging her.

Is she pleased and proud of how quickly she finishes the work? Sometimes competitive children think that this is what it's all about as they aren't given the concept of being better than anyone else in terms of the quality of the work.

I agree the Conners questionnaire would be a good starting point.

Girls especially can bottle up some of their energy and then it can leak out when they get home.

Does she have similar issues elsewhere? How do friends and relatives perceive her?

It could equally be that she's very bright and is just bored and/or enthusiastic as already said.

Don't worry but keep an open mind - its not the end of the world if she did have adhd.
