If believing that immigration to this country has got beyond the joke then so be it, but that does not make me a racist that makes me someone who is a tax payer and is allowed an opinion.
When we have enough jobs and enough money then immigration is fine but until that time it should be stopped and I will vote for any party that would do that bar the racist ones.
I also believe that everyone who is not sick should support themselves and not use benefits as a way of life, once again im allowed my opinions, if you dont like them then, TOUGH0 -
mrssweep I was just about to suggest you speak to your employer to see if more hours available but i see you've done that already

I would second princessdon's suggestion too of debt free board, you never know what info you can pick up which can help.
PS I hope you are all recovered now, it doesnt sound like you have had a nice time recently

Thanks for such a wonderful comment. It really helped me on my way!
I also wanted to let you know that you appear to have confused me with someone you have known for the past 18 years and who has been 'working part time in an easy job and allowing tax credits to pick up the slack.' Infact I have been working at my current job for just 18 months. Before that I was a primary school teacher for 7 and a half years working 32 hours a week. Sadly being diagnosed with bowel cancer forced me to leave that job and recover for a further year. I didnt really intend to go into all the gory details on here but felt I have had to justify myself. I hope my recovery period sounds an acceptable amount of time to you.
I thought this forum was a place for people to help each other out - not just to lurk here waiting to pounce on people down on their luck. I'm really quite cross about people who do this. Its very unattractive but something you appear fond of doing.
By the way my boss has given me an extra 6 hours a week today so you can sleep easy tonight
Really pleased you got the extra hours, hopefully it's a sign of things starting to go well for you,Love many, trust few, learn to paddle your own canoe.

Has he only got six hours available? It would be a shame not to look for more ...0
