I just nipped home for a very quick catch up and a bit of lunch.

Waiting for mum to be taken into hospice. Pain is so severe, something desperately needs to be done for her.

Don't think I will be around much today somehow. Just going back to meet Macmillan nurse at mum's.

Hope everyone else is ok and hugs to everyone who needs them.

Hugs to you and your mum too.
Hope they sort her some pain meds soon. Thinking of you Caz x

Hi everyone - hugs to everyone that needs them , lots.

OH took me to see my Dad this morning, Staffordshire has had a good covering of snow.

On the way back we went to BRidgmere Garden Centre - anyone living on the borders of Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire will know where it is, now part of the Wyevale garden centres.

We had free coffee vouchers for January so as we were going past we nipped in. Quite a lot of Christmas stuff left with only 25% reductions but on the little tables some stuff was 50 or 75% off, nothing we needed but if you are short of anything exciting to do this weekend might be worth a visit.

They also had Gerbenas in pots for £1.49 - not long lasting but nice and cheerful if you are visiting the ailing and afflicted - take them some glitch biscuits or chocolate and a Gerbenas daisy in a pot, nice gesture and something a bit different

Also behind the main tills as you go out before the loading bay they had 2 giant tray stacks of Primulas reduced down to 20p :T - rough reckon of 48 on a shelf so maybe about 500 in total, all colours, all in very good health with buds. I got 5 nice ones to sit on the window will, when they have gone over and the wether is better I'll plant them outside.

Also got 2 reduced African violets for 50 p each so in all only spent £2 - a lot of cheeriness for not very much!

At one time if you were on their mailing list they sent you buy one get one meal free vouchers for January, nice little treat but this year all we got was free coffee vouchers - their loss as I would have spent £10 in the cafe today but didn't
Probably not the only ones thinking the same.

Also mad at the building society. I've got a monthly savings account started last May and I am saving the maximum amount in it that is allowed. They told me that I could start another one if it was a different issue number to the one I had. So I rang them to make the appointment and they say you can no longer have 2 of these monthly savings accounts, new ruling came in this month  She said they had a financial advisor which I told her would be of no use to me, not much to ask for 5% interest is it:o

So another company that doesn't want my money.

Typical, get to the stage in our lives when we can save a bit and interest rates are so low it's not worth the effort :D

I've gone into rant mode yet again, why does no one stop me :rotfl:
