Their's loads of quiet roads that you'd be able to park that are near the Metropolitan line and are safe:)I'm sure between us we'd be able to find you somewhere:) but make sure to factor in the train tickets into London;)

Thanks nikki never been to london and after checking price of train tickets from home I'm wishing we had booked a hotel less central with free parking and then got train in from there x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Oi! You lot! There should be as rule that you can't slag off a photo of another poster without posting a better one of yourself. :D

Your comments have reminded me here's a motorway services I sometimes stop at which reminds me too much of the bar-room scence in StarWars! If the locals all looked like that the council would be diging up and testing all the water supplies or something.:rotfl:

Thats the point its not the people in the photos as much as they surely arent the best they have, if I were to post one of myself I would make sure it was a nice one, if such a thing exists

Now if I remember rightly it was you who wanted this flipping snow:p:p:p:pWe've got far tooooo much:(

Yes it was :D:cool: its not the snow I dont want, its the neighbours

Never too much you know that growing up round here we rarely get decent snow so I'm loving it, once neighbours are safely despatched to work tomorrow I will venture out to do errands & back the car in to make it easier to get out, today I would need the car to limbo through the spaces they've left & with the icy road backing out would be impossible

Please tell Mr Lala I'm glad he didnt go today hopefully he's all snug in the garage watching sky. Hope all goes well tomorrow
  • Afternoon all

Lots of snow falling here near the white cliffs.
Been falling lightly all day but now getting heavy.

Have no need to leave house for several days but now want to make butterfly cakes trying rice flour but no eggs here as don't often use them.

Spent ages on BS last night as so many codes I am sure a glitch must be about to pop up. Really need more Divine calm bath stuff but 40% off is still too expensive.
Any of nikilalas 'global glitches' would do. Been very good but need an online glitch as stuck indoors. Didn't even leave house last night for my weekly whoopsie flowers from T's.

Hope all are warm and well and those with new snow creatures in back gardens have now got cold children in warm with hot chocolate.

DM still waiting for photo of Rebecca and her snow man.;)

  • Went to T for a look at whoopsies nothing there apart from pizza bases pack of 2 reduced to 9p got 3 packs. I also noticed a London 2012 cup with heros in no price but with reduced items I took it to SS and it came up £1.25 so I thought okay and bought it. Once I got home and showed OH he pointed out that the date on it was Nov 2012. Now I have no idea about how much it was orginally but surely T can not sell me something nearly 2 months out of date. The ? Is what should I do, what would you do if it was u?

Hope everyone is keeping warm and cosy. All wet and slushy and a little icy in yorkshire.
For all members from London could you help me with a dilemma please. Visiting London with family in July and trains are always silly money. Was thinking of driving to hotel in marylebone but surrounding carparks are expensive. Looked at iparkonyourdrive.com but all booked. Thinking of maybe parking up somewhere and getting train in, does anyone know where parking would be best for this. We need about 36 hours. Tia x

Are you saying you have already booked a hotel in Marylebone ? Or are you just sightseeing & wanting to park at a hotel here (often free further out) & would travel into London by underground?
  • Good afternoon everyone, I hope everyone is keeping safe and warm :snow_grin:snow_grin

I haven't been out the door since Thursday so I'm sorry that I haven't got anything good to share yet :(

My dd nahteb20 has managed to get out today and come to check on me and her dad, the grandkids have all been fed and are now outside busy building us a snowman :snow_laug:snow_grin:snow_laug

    Keep warm everyone x
