It's been snowing for about an hour now in North Notts, with quite a breeze and temp showing -2 degrees. Anyone heading out in it take care.

hubby works in Edwinstowe and every year they get snowed in/out......so instead of coming home about 6.30pm, they've let them all leave early and he came home about half hour ago :D

cant wait to drag the kids out on the sledges and inflatables....we're very close to a seemingly floodlit mainroad, so am tempted to go out on the field now :D
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

She's in love bless her and determined to get there and at 21 you cant tell em owt. He has been away for 3 weeks and she has missed him. Would you think best to travel tonight and stay in hotel or wait until early hours and drive then ? I will check about the canceled flights now ( would be easy if we only had the flight number lol) x

21 Year old in a sports car in these conditions! I'd take the keys off her! I'd book him a hotel and then a train home....their safety is the important thing here!:)

Thank you so much izzy65 for keeping this up to date. I am sorry I have not been around. :o

I did not get lost at the Boots sale but did in amongst my stashes yesterday trying to clear them away. And this cold snap has made my mum's pain a lot worse so have been round there with no internet access. :(

Good news from Wednesday, DD3 has a conditional place on her preferred college course. :T

If anyone wants to be added to the list and if anyone needs to be striked off can you please PM me as there is no way I can keep up with you all at the moment.

Had to laugh that Dave caught Funkys womble. :rotfl:

Princessmelody, you can go on the list as I'm pretty sure all of us have just not had anything back on wombled APGs and PPs, we won't count points between friends. :)

Anyone tried to use a neighbours address? Won't allow me to do it. Says address used even though it hasn't. Same postcode though?

I haven't read on yet so apologies if anyone has answered this already. I had this problem so put my full address in but left off the last two letters of the postcode. It accepted it and I should think that the items should find their way here OK.

Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x

EDIT-Back on the quest, I've been away too long!
  • Dunno if it has been posted but the tins of victoria biscuits are RTC £2 in Tesco and Foxes are £3. Boxes of fingers and Foxes are £1. Finest long life custard was 50p. Hth :)

The cat on the right has the same markings as our late (some years ago) cat "Marmalade" or Marma for short. She was from a litter of a feral farm cat. Always had a mean streak and could never get her to wear a collar and think I've still got the scars to prove it:rotfl: The vet told us that cats with that colouring can often be unpredicatable. How is yours?

Sadly in later life, despite her "attitude" problems, she wouldn't venture outside as she was being bullied by neighbouring cats who appeared to have claimed our garden as their territory. At a time when she would go out through the cat flap we would sometimes hear an almighty clattering as she shot back through the cat flap pursued by one of these cats. Most stopped at the cat flap but one very large cat had no fear and would come into the house to continue the battle.

We eventually had to lock the cat flap and it was sad watching her sitting by the cat flap looking through it for ages but too frightened to go out even when we opened the door for her. It was however slightly amusing to hear the "splat" of the other cats launching themselves at the cat flap door only to find it was locked:)
