She's in love bless her and determined to get there and at 21 you cant tell em owt. He has been away for 3 weeks and she has missed him. Would you think best to travel tonight and stay in hotel or wait until early hours and drive then ? I will check about the canceled flights now ( would be easy if we only had the flight number lol) x

Does she know just how much the short term parking costs at Heathrow its really  I'm sure the rates are on the net somewhere, I think I paid £21 when I met Jedward & they werent delayed, has she ever been to Heathrow before ?

Not sure how long you can stay in their car park but she could wait in McDonalds on the Bath Rd till you phone her to tell her he has landed, I understand her motivation but could be a long wait.

a little bit of snow and this country comes to a standstill! I was listening to radio london earlier. They said in sweden, the schools (and everything) remain open when it's snowing. They only close when the temp goes down to -15:eek:

That's different to the actual press reports in a Swedish paper http://www.thelocal.se/44878/20121206/

    Afternoon all

Been a day of it! A 45 min walk to work this morning took 1 hr 20 mins because of the snow. It was 3 inches when I left home, but 5/6 by the time I got to work. A bus was sideways on the main road so I am glad I chose to walk!

I walked home too and it was lovely :)

One thing I will recommend though- YAKTRAX are now essential winter things. I used the properly this afternoon and they are brilliant :D

Guessed that,We've all done it:oThing is if she books into a hotel it'll be a waste because she's got to leave so early to get to the airport:cool:It's the lesser of two evils really the weather is going to be bad whenever she does it. Their doesnt look like any let up here at the moment:(Thing is if she drives down later, leaves herself plenty of time she can always go into the airport and get a coffee while she waits and she'll be in the warm;)

Just spoke to her and she is gona wait for update on airport site at 12. She decided against hotel as if he is delayed she may have to check out before he even arrives and kill time elsewhere. It's a long haul flight with several stops so there is a real chance he will be delayed I think . We are still snowing here but lightly and just checked street and starting to settle a bit but very slushy, the main roads are usually better though as more traffic on them. Thanks again

Before Traveling in the Snow always pack the following: warm coat, hat, gloves, sturdy boots, a blanket to keep you warm if you get stuck. Take some food, chocolate, biscuits, water and a hot drink if you can. Always carry a fully charged mobile, and some old bits of carpet, or cat litter, to put under the tyres I must have looked like a right idiot on the bus today
