I hope he can get home soon. Blinking snow, lovely to look at but causes disruption everywhere!!

Thanks. I wouldn't mind, but he'll be turning round and going back on Monday.
    Hope is not a strategy.
  • :snow_grin:snow_grinno snow here in bucks so off to work 20 miles away . was told it was snowing there last night . cancelled several appointments for today as I had people due from Litttlehampton and Gloucester and thought they wouldn't make it safely .

    Morning all!

Please spare a thought for DH, he spent last night on a campbed at Munich airport after his flight was cancelled due to snow there. I'm hoping he'll get back safely today, but I'm guessing conditions aren't going to be good in Manchester or driving over the Pennines. :( Can anyone over there give me an update, please?

Thank goodness he's got his winter tyres on.

Hope everyone has a good day, look after yourselves.

Wishing him a safe and swift journey back home hun.

Well it's 7.30 in the morning I shave dragged myself unwillingly out of bed, fully dressed, numerous layers, hated the cold yesterday, couldn't get warm at all. Normally my 1st job is to make tea, lunch packs and porridge, sort cats out.

Went to shout son up, he was due to go to the OUTdoors Show today with uni on the mini bus. now he says the trip was cancelled last night about 11.

He was still up That that time, as we were. He could have put his head around the bedroom door to say the trip was off. He could have left a note on the bedside cabinet or in the kitchen for dad. He could have sent a free text to any of 3 phones. He could have sent an email to any of 5 email addresses

    But he didn't

Oh the joys of having kids, I feel your pain - my teenager told me 5 mins before he was due to leave this morning he had no trousers for school. He'd assumed I knew as I was ironing and he saw trousers on a chair, shame they belonged to DD!! (thinking back I should have just sent him out in them instead :D )
Kids or should I say teenagers!!! Mine text me at 11 last night to say the cat was scratching the door to come in:rotfl:

My Mum has a friend whose Daughter texted her at 1am one morning to say she'd run out of loo roll - silly mare took her some round to her! My Mum wouldn't have bothered :D

Reliable Innocent Smooth was glitching last night too, and I had success with Dettol handwash, 1 each of Dettol Moisture Hand Wash and Dettol Sensitive Hand Wash with Pure Glycerin. It failed when I bought 4 of the Sensitive Hand Wash with Pure Glycerin though so be careful. These are the only ones I've not see reported already.

I can only recall one occasion where this kind of glitch has run into a second day.

Were the two shops done at the same time? Seems strange it worked on one and not the other.

I blame the snow, over excited :p
  • Lutzi the train should still be running fine it normally does in this weather in daylight. I used to work in castleford and when it snowed I got that train rather than spend hours sat on the M62 at Saddleworth. The train runs from in the actual airport it might go closer to you than Leeds. I'm sure it runs right up to Newcastle. Hope he manages to get home today x
