Anyone had any experience of being a Deal or New Deal contestant? Hubby just had a call to say they are considering him and he'll know within 2 weeks! Only problem is he has just started a new job, how long do they stay on the show for?0

I was going to get a speedlite 430 ex11 , from jessops using tesco cc vouchers unfortunately for all, thats not going to happen.
I have been having a look around and just keep going in circles so heres the question.
Are these flashes that claim to be as good or better than the speedlite and £100 -£150 compared to £200ish worth it or am I better off just stumping up the extra and buying the canon speedlite.
Definately going to get one just the question is which.
At this precise moment in time I dont need it to be a master or really want to play with manual settings.
If you or anyone else can offer advice feel free or just ignore me if you cant be bothered its
I've got the Canon Speedlight 420EX which I bought quite a few years ago on Amazon for about £100 ish(£200 ish now?). It's been a great gun as the head can be manipulated into just about any position. Good for direct flash when there's a lot to light but subtle enough for close work when positioned for bounce/reflected flash. Recharges very quickly so good for rapid fire. As with all separate guns there is no red eye problem.
I've always used it in fully automatic mode but never tried (understood:o) how to use any other mode. Got a mate who lives out your way that used to be the chief photographer on the Echo so I asked him about other modes but he said that on his gun(500 series) he never really found a need to use them.
One thing you an be sure of is that a speedlight will be fully compatible with your Canon DSLR. HTH:)Awaiting a new sig0 -
I picked up my first ever womble on the 10th! I have put it into the price checker site but still no e-mail, I have re inputting it several times but all I get is "we have received your request ......." Is there anyway to speed the process up? I'm sure when I put the details in it stated results within 24 hours or sooner. It is taking the excitement from my first ever womble - am starting to feel robbed:rotfl:0

I've done the same before now - spent time piddling around getting fillers, only to find the 'glitchy item/s' are not in store
gd did her cross country trial today, and came first in year group - she said her time would have been better if she "hadn't spent ten mins helping untangle her friend from some twigs":rotfl:0 -

Had a friend that went on once. Think he stayed 2 weeks but not certain. Hth xCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
