I know why people might want gift cards. If I am given cash it often goes towards household bills, a gift card does not.

I always get GC's for Xmas from my MIL:)And she always asks me where I want them for. I love getting them for exactly the reason you say, it means I spend them on me:o and don't just fritter the money away which is what would happen if it was in my purse:oThis year she gave them to me for Debenhams and so far I've got a new coat in the sales and still got £40 left for other bits:T:T

Are we all ready for the morning and the boots sale. The nearest big one near me opens at 8.00 a.m so I am leaving at 6.45 to get there early. Even though the store opens at 8.00 and in a ashopping centre the car park does not open until 9.00a.m. So got my Advantage Cards ( i have 3) , vouchers from the mailing and a warm coat and gloves. Also a satchel bag so both my hands are free. I only really want a Mirrored jewelery box and some slippers but would not mind some sanctuary especially the perfume. ( although I have 3 gift sets with perfume from the glicth in November!
