I recall once we stumbled across a sheep that had fallen into a reservoir. the wind and current had taken it most the way across but it was flagging badly and rather than being flat in the water it was vertical with just its head out the water.
We decided the only thing to do was get some large boulders and throw them in at such a place that the extending swell would help push it to the side more quickly. It worked and it started drifting in more quickly but how gutted was I when it lost its struggle no more than 7 or 8 feet from the edge. I did manage to get it out but it had sadly died. Totally ruined a good day as all we could think about for the rest of the day was this poor sheep.
I started reading this and got to the large boulders bit and thought for a minute you were going to say you got them to launch at the sheep to put it out of its misery :eek:
A sheep washed up on the beach a while back where it had obviously fallen into the river and ended up in the sea. Poor thing, all the dogs were claiming it by peeing on it:o
Purdy also did this with a massive dead badger she "found" a few years ago. Climbed on it's back before piddling on it. My son was disgusted....told me it was no way to treat the dead!My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
