guys need your help for my friend, any advice appreciated....she is distraught, new baby and she's been unwell and her baby has been so ill they have had to take the little bub to the hospital, now back from the hospital....8th day in a row now their next door neighbour is banging and shouting obscenities through the bedroom wall 'shup up you little !!!!!!!' is what the woman shouted yesterday and beat the wall down with something (sounded like a boot to my friend), her husband has also come over to my friend and her o/h and had a word - he told them to move bedrooms...
what do u all think?
oh if only...if only i were local to her...being silly meI'd hide and send my evil twin round to deal with them:p <---lame attempt at a joke me silly moi;)
welcome creative25...you are so welcome here:)
How awful for herperhaps a note through the neighbours door about the baby being both newborn and unwell? I gave birth to DD in our old flat and all the neighbours were at our door even though it was 2am but that was because they were excited! Don't really know what to suggest other than a note sorry.
As for your lovely avatar pic; my mam loves robins, they always make me think of hermight I suggest Lacey; along the FK theme... lacy knickers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

has a sedative effect on humans and cat mint tea can help you to sleep

Thats great that you have a DAP diffuser going, they can take a few weeks till they show any affect so fingers crossed. x
My dogs really appreciate a thick comfy bed, I bought some lovely memory foam ones from ebay as one of my dogs is old & arthritic. I guess they like a comfy bed with their long boney legs bless!
The other thing you could try is putting a fleecey house coat on her at night. They are comfier than a regular dog coat and often used for kennel dogs.
I like the Nina Ottosson toys as I can load them up and give one to each of my dogs at the same time lol. They come with a dvd that explains how to make them easy at first then more complicated as the dog progresses. If you search on youtube there are lots of videos showing how they work.
They usually have to push open a compartment with their paw or nose to get a treat, you can add little plastic bones that they need to remove to make the game harder. I have often been surprised that the dogs that I thought wouldnt get it end up being the best at it !
Good luck tonight! Fingers crossed once they get settled back into your routine things will be easier.
MM x
Well tonight she has cried a little and barked a lot  I gave them extra bones tonight before leaving them so think that has helped a little but they seem to have now settled to sleep as there has been no noise for 10 to 15 mins - either that or they're wrecking the kitchen :rotfl:
I bought them new beds yesterday and came down this morning to them out in the yard! Both freshly washed and put down for them with their fleece blankets on them so they're warmer. I'll check out plastic ones to put these into just so they're off the floor a little, it may help but the two of them sleep together so would be worried if he tried to squeeze in beside her and hurt her, nothing worse than her cry of pain
I'll have to have a proper look at the dog toys as I didn't realise they could be changed to suit the ability of the dog it may help them both thank you. I'll have a search on YouTube too.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

For once I am not grumpy, I've just had a very sad couple of days, so I haven't posted anything. I had to go to the funeral of a good friend yesterday who died at the age of 47, a week before Christmas. It seems that he was misdiagnosed after a car accident a couple of years ago which eventually resulted in him having a massive heart attack.
I knew a week before the funeral that he had died and I had been fine with it. However, when I actually sat down in the church, it hit me, very hard. When I saw all the slides of him and his family on the ohp and realised that neither they, nor I were ever going to see him again, I couldn’t control myself and the waterworks started. I had gone to the church completely unprepared, without tissues or anything to keep my dignity intact, just the back of my hand, which after a short time wasn’t really enough.
Anyway, a moral I can take from this (albeit a bit too late)..
Don’t lose touch with good friends, as although with great friends you can always catch up the next time you see them as if you had never been apart, sometimes fate kicks in and you never get the opportunity.:(:(
Big Northern Irish hugs winging their way to you.
I agree with your moral and it can be applied to everyone we care about, we never know the minute we'll leave this mortal world behind just hope that we leave others with good memories.

Have APG's been capped at £15 again?
I used one for £16 from the day the multibuys weren't recognised and SA said they were capped at £15.
I told her that the caps had been lifted and she checked with someone else and they let me use it as it was from earlier in the month before the cap had been put back on.
Wasn't trouted or anything both staff were nice, but wondered if anyone else had heard of this. Thank you.
No, the APGs are not capped - that only happened for a short period after the 3 for 2s glitch last Sept./Oct.(?) - although the existence of a cap and then its removal has doubtless led to confusion among the SAs.
The T&Cs still say that, for vouchers over £15, they may check if they have been calculated correctly and there may be a delay of up to a week before they can be used. I am not bothered about this with my voucher for £17.05 - there are no glitched items on my receipt and, if they were to check, they'd find they'd owe me a further £1.08.
Someone I think went to the Advertising Standards Authority saying that Sada could no longer "guarantee" to be 10% cheaper if they had a cap on the vouchers. I don't know what came of that - but it may be that Sada have removed the cap following the ASA approaching them and therefore resolved the complaint.
In my view the cap was only put there in order to deal with the issue of the 3 for 2s and was set at a level (£15) that would still allow full 10% refunds if you bought one set of 3 of an item that was on 3 for 2 elsewhere, but not if you bought more than one 3 for 2 and mixed cheaper items in there which was how the glitches seemed to happen.
The APG website does issue vouchers of over £15 and it seems that the vouchers come straight out, for the full amount, on the site - the issue may be when you get to store and try to use the voucher (more than £15) - the staff, probably, should now put it on hold pending an inquiry into whether the amount is correct and then you can use it a week later.
This is if staff know the rules properly, and with the changes and changes back again, I expect there is a deal of confusion - last time the cap was on, I had a staff member at the A store I went to refuse the vouchers saying he didn't know what the limit was but thought it was £10 (my voucher was £12) and then made up a weekly limit for the total amount of APG vouchers you could have, but couldn't tell me what amount this alleged "weekly limit" (which features nowhere in writing) was. Sada HQ I suspect will have corrected this and made the store aware of the actual terms (HQ were very good and they will have resolved this issue with the store) - I used the voucher later the same day in another A store, with no problem or question at all. There is no such thing as a weekly limit.
I don't know how the we "may check" on vouchers over £15 works as I haven't had one above £15 since the rule change, but I'm none too worried by my voucher of £17+. They guarantee to be 10% cheaper and if not to give you the difference. It is the best of the supermarket price promises in my view.0 -

A difficult situation as I am sure your friends are doing all they can to look after the baby and don't need nasty unhelpful neighbours.
Have your friends any family to help them out or are there other neighbours they can talk to?
Indeed, a good support network is key. Does she have friends or relatives that she can call on to visit? Babies can be a great way to bring families / friends closer togetherMay: Make £5 a day £115.38 / £155

Mildred1970 wrote: »That's awful. Hows the baby doing now?
I would ordinarily suggest trying to explain reasonably to the neighbours that they have a poorly baby and naturally they are trying to keep the noise to a minimum but new babies do cry a lot, sorry about the noise, bear with us etc etc.
However, these people sound like utter buffoons and if any further exchanges occurred I would probably suggest earplugs.
You can't educate pork unfortunately
