went to Poole store which opened a couple of weeks ago, it had small freezer section. Have never been to HB before, looked to me a bit like the rubbish you get in Poundland but more expensive, with the occasional bargain as well?

Lots of bargains to be had in both stores - you just have to see past the bits of "rubbish" as you call them.

I guess it depends how much you are prepared to pay for things...

I find HB far superior to our local Poundland. I can buy recognisable branded items at great prices.

Entirely agree! Whilst I do shop in Poundland, I feel you have to be careful with some items which are frequently cheaper than one pound.

I agree, I bought 290ml Lea and Perrins Worcester Sauce in HB today for £1.49 it is £2.15 in the big supermarkets. Worringly they had run out of Nicky toilet roll, think the word might be out

The Nicky toilet rolls are in farmfoods too just as cheap :)
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

My Tesco has started selling Nicky & they've put a competition on the pack too. Both sure signs the brand is on the up (and will prob get more expensive!)
  • The Hamilton store on Friday had Ecover Mizu body lotion 250ml, for normal skin, contains almond oil. Can't find my receipt now but it was around 89p and it seems to be around £5.50 a bottle on other websites that I have looked at. Looks like it has good reviews.

Picked some of this up the other day. It is indeed 89p. Smells gorge!

No Nicky toilet roll or kitchen roll in my local Home Bargains, and Farm Foods only had a few packs left.

Wonder if they have got supplier issues, or going to stop stocking the brand.
