    Today in Retford

They still had the Dorling Kindersley Lego books I posted at #400, but also had:

Star Wars encyclopedia (which, annoyingly, I had ordered online from them, so could have avoided delivery costs - stock online is usually different from stores)

    Harry Potter encyclopedia

    Both £2.99, RRP £14.99

They had some latch hook kit's (wall hanging's) in the Dundee store for £2.99 , word of advice though don't go to the new Dundee store (Lochee) on a Saturday afternoon queues were terrible.
Just seen on there facebook page that they are doing Lego Lunchboxes! £3.99 just have them in blue online http://www.homebargains.co.uk/products/7889-lego-blue-lunch-box-8.aspx

  • Found Duplo Emergency helicopter sets at my local home bargains today for £9.99, RRP £19.99. Below is the link to get them online.:), Has anyone else found any duplo bargains as I am stocking up ready for xmas pressies for my boys.
  • Picked up a 4 pack of Bundaberg lemon & lime bitters drink for 99p yesterday, will be testing how well they go with vodka later! :D

Also got a 3 pack of Colgate branded toothbrushes for 99p. I know you can get cheaper but OH turns his nose up at any that aren't branded apart from for cleaning with, plus they were all different bright colours so easy to spot who's I who's, and for spares for guests

They have the red Lego lunchboxes at Chelmsford. They are quite small for a lunchbox but we bought it to store Lego minifigures.

Also found packs of 4 x 2 litres of Coke or Diet Coke for £4.99.

DK Things that go sticker books for 58p. My 2 year old loves it :) it said 'assorted' on the label so there may be other sticker books floating round too.

I also picked up an airplane plush for £3.99. They had rocket ones too. They are lovely quality and neutral colours (red, yellow etc) so good for boy and a girl.

Found these in HB port talbot

Popped in to my local today and found a couple of what I think are bargains :)

Garnier Simply Essentials make up remover £1.99 (usually £3.10 in Tesco) (although I've just noticed they're half price at Sainsbobs :( oh well, it would've cost me more than that to get there :)

Giant cupcake tin (tin, not silicone) for £2.99

Various flasks including stainless and food flasks - I think prices started from £1.99 (didn't buy so not completely sure)

Cake boxes and boards (12") £1.99

John West Seared Thai Seared Tuna 99p - these are a vac packed seared tuna fillet (I think there's 2 little ones in the pack) with a sauce - I bought the Sweet Thai Red Chilli, but they also had the Italian herb variety. Same as these
Not sure how much they are elsewhere - I can't find them on mysupermarket!
  • Cute small photo frames at 69p
keyring photo frames 69p (same ones £1.99 Boots)
    1kg basmati rice 99p!!!!
500g Tilda long grain rice 99p
