Am I doing something wrong...?

Over the past 3-4 years I have had some fantastic wins, aholiday to OZ, A Jaguar for the weekend. £700 hotel break, loads of gigs, VIPparty with Guinness in Dublin.
The last few month’s wins have almost dried up. (A 1night hotel stay)
I try to stay focused and determined, but some days youwonder why you spend all this time!!
A lot of people say it’s down to luck which is very true.
But, a big but, so many people are now entering comps thechances are now getting lower.
I think the main thing that keeps me going is the buzzyou get when you win something, it makes up for all the disappointment J
Back into Comping again after a break0 -
The thing you are doing wrong is expecting that you will win. Comping is a great hobby and it should be tackled with the view that anything you may win is a bonus, not a right as a comper! Enter for fun and be grateful for what you win and be grateful that your friends win, stop expecting it and then you will start winning!0

Tip for New Year:
Must add plenty of "fake" comp wins to my signature just to make everyone else green with envy...0 -

lol, and that will help, how? people want to win comps, pretending you have won is not quite the same, lol0 -
In short no. It's just random, winning is random. This is why I always stick to free competitions. I enter and try not to get my hopes up. If I would have won everything I had entered I would be a millionaire with too many TVs.
As long as it doesn't interfere with your life just keep doing what you are and it might pay off. I've only been seriously comping since December although I would enter the end thing, I think I won four things in one week and had won a couple of things before. I think once you've won something it feels disappointing not to keep winning things.Debt Free: 24/05/2013!!!!
2014: A years supply of Ecover washing up liquid, Phantom of the Paradise steelbook, A selection of Ojon goodies, £500 ASOS vouchers.0 -
Odds of winning a comp posted on MSE - about 1500 to 1, the bigger the prize, the worse the odds! (a couple of years ago it was about 500 to 1)
Odds of winning a comp not posted on MSE/prizefinder - very good!
My personal experience only based on more than 41,000 comps in 151 days comping during 2012 and 154 wins.“D’you know what a loser is?
A real loser is someone who’s so afraid of not winning, they don’t even try.”

I've had none this year so far and December was very slow. But I always find Dec Jan slower as many new people start comping round that tome but may give up a few months into the year.2015 Big wins: luxury 7 night holiday in sharm el sheikh, theatre tix, £123, IPad Air 16gb, Night in London hotel celebjuicetix :, Portable dvd playerT
Best 2014: £900 VIP cheltenham races day, £200 H&M voucher, £300 camera, 2 nights luxury apt Harrogate, 5 nights glamping cumbria
Total:2010: £10,531, 2011:£11,0750 -
if you are feeling frustrated and not enjoying it, best thing to do is take a few months break. Do it to enjoy doing it and not to win

I've found that, when I start to feel like this, I get my best wins!
Just keep going and your luck will change, I promise. :T0 -
Hubby and I wonder the same thing too but I enter with the hope of winning. I won an Xbox game just before Xmas and that boosted me for a bit and now I am in that lull again. I even put hubby's name down for things to increase our chances but I just enter and hope...
x x x:j Thanx to all who post the comps!!! :j0
