Apps randomly appearing on Samsung s3

I have a Samsung s3 and random app icons keep appearing on my screen.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to stop them appearing please - I'm not very techie!!

No idea where they are coming from?

The default setting in the Play Store is to add icons for newly installed apps onto a homescreen, you can turn that off in it's settings.

In my Android (CyanogenMod) when you are in the apps window and intentionally or accidentally tap&move (instead of taping) an icon, the shorcut gets added to a free space on the homescreen.

Have you installed or updated any apps?

If not have you transferred to SD card then rebooted?
