Hi all
Love and hugs to those who need them x
Have really struggled this week had flu last weekend, felt like pants since, but had to go into work.
Was rewarded today by the announcement of redundancies today, volentery for now, so hopefully it won,t effect those who wish to stay, but doesn,t bode well....
On the positive side, due to feeling carp, have only spent £22 of my budget so far this month. And that includes my turn at the tea and biccie run at work.
Chicken fajitas for dinner tonight from a freezer and fridge forage.
So looking forward to the weekend, just need some chill time, its been pretty horrendous so far this week.
PS - i,ve had my kitchen aid for over 10 years, she,s still as pretty and hardworking as the day I bought her, OH treated her to a shiney new glass bowl for her birthday
Have a fab day all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Second of my 2 rest days from work for the week today. I have swept, dusted and mopped the lounge. Then took delivery of my new camera bag I got with the Christmas money my Dad gave me. One of the cats is enjoying the box it came in immensely. I have sorted a date to enrol on my nvq 2 I am doing through work, once I have passed this I will get a pay rise which will be nice
. Defrosted some lemon biscuit dough I had in the freezer which I made the other week. I will roll, cut and bake it later on. Just got round to watching Downton Abbey Christmas special, the end made me a bit sad so cheering myself up with some Doctor Who now!

lemon biscuits sound lovely any recipe pretty please, helpd DD detox two cupboards and a drawer in her kitchen today and got her laughing as she had put Jive Talkin by the Bee Gees on and the sight of her aged Ma jigging around the kitchen managed to put a smile on her face
:)Agency rang her to say they have put her forward for another interview Fingers crossed again I would like her to get this one as the job description looks as though it was written for her
Just off to have bangers and veg for dinner
Take care all

Evening all (well it's dark, so I'ts evening)
I sat up far too late last night, nattering so I need an early night tonight, but not going to bed too soon as hubby is likely to get a phone call & have to rush up to work to help out.
Re the skirt purge, parents were given 3 month notice, so it shouldn't have come as too much of a surprise.
I was given 2 more bags of clothes today, so I need to have a sort through, to see what will fit who.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

Who let all the cold in!! Inside my flat has gone from just about right to absolutely freezing since this morning... Not impressed at all. Means I have the heating on already (and have done since I got in at 4). And I've dragged my quilt out to the sofa to hide under while I finish the last few bits of prep for tomorrow!
Tonight is cleaning the kitchen night - obviously the highlight of my week - but making a mess first... Birthday tomorrow, so need to make cake for work!
Hope everyone has had a good day, and hugs to those who want/need,

No you are not mad. They love having their furry playmates. Mine are lost without each other xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
