Good morning.
I see that we are all getting back into the swing of normal life. Quite a relief isn't it?
Chez nous most of the rubbish, (ironing, christmas decs,a ton and a half of papers waiting to be sorted and filed, half finished knitting and patchwork projects, boxes of church candles, a moutain of the Rev's churchy 'resources', presents that have yet to find a home.......) has accumulated in the Room of Doom. I am sitting in a corner of it at my desk with my feet on a pile of 'useful' boxes wondering when, if ever, I will get to sort it all out. Not any time soon I'm afraid, there are too many things that take priority.
esmf: I do admire you for getting back to real life and getting organised. Good luck with that.
Miffy: Teaching assistants must be wonderful. I never had that luxury. I think back to the early sixties when I had reception classes of 45 and there were no such thing as playgroups etc so it was the first time most of the children had left their mothers. All that, on my own and in a classroom that was designed for about 20 children and in any case had been condemned in 1946. How did we manage? And more to the point, how did all those children emerge at the end of the year reading, writing and with a good foundation in numeracy?
I know that my thighs were always black and blue at their table height from trying to squeeze my way round the room.
It's jacket potatoes and something for lunch today. I also feel I must make some biscuits and cake. We've finished up the Christmas goodies.

Morning All
Really foggy here today, but not too cold.
Just got back from shopping, Aldi was awful today there was hardly anything on the shelvesSo I just go enough to get by for the week and we are going to the wholesale freezer food shop tomorrow to top up with meat, if they have any, they had a lot of battered stuff and pies before Christmas and hardly anything else, so we shall see. My aim is to fill the chest freezer with only meat and use the other freezers for vegetables etc. Then I will start topping up the store cupboard, which I am sorting this afternoon.
DH has just made me a coffee so I am going to have that while catching up on the other threads and I will get on after that.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Good afternoon everyone
I just can't get properly organised at the minute, work is so busy, I can't get out of Christmas/New Year holiday mode and now I am unsettled because of pending hospital stay. I keep using it all as an excuse not to get down to things that need doing.
Am working on Sunday but Saturday has got to be my getting my backside back into gear day! I will shop, drop clutter off at Oxfam and then batch cook for the following week and I will clean my tip of a house and make it presentable again.
OK that is my brief rant at myself and maybe if I see it here in writing, I will be shamed into doing something about it.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
