On phoning the Jessops Shop I was told that my deposit may not be returnable, ... is this so?
Would I not be allowed to the 14 day canellation period.
I would rather have my deposit back and buy the camera from a company that is operating normally.
Any advice would be welcome please.
1st off DO NOT CANCEL THE ORDER.
If the goods have not arrived 15 days after the date of debit contact your bank, ask for disputes department and get a non reciept chargeback actioned.
This should be done with not paperwork and over the phone (how we work).
Do not listen to people who say co not trading = no chance of money back. Its claimed from their merchant bank.
Also people mention S75. Even on a credit card it would not be actioned in this case.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

Yes it would:

"This piece of legalese is fantastic protection, particularly during these credit crunch times. It means if you order something and if the retailer goes kaput, you can still claim your money back from the card company (even if you've since closed your credit card account). "
I know the above is from MSE, but it is legislation, as against Chargeback not being.

As far as I know CEWE Color has reached agreement with the administrators to honouring all Jessops photo print orders.0

Probably posted in the wrong place - feel free to move it but it might be helpful to others to know that I have successfully had my money back for unhonoured Jessops vouchers by asking Santander for chargeback. Not very helpful forms to complete but worth the effort.0
