I would do it staright away if you can and give the site details.

Any address linked to the paypal payment?

Yes, and it is different from the one they were using before. It was sales@trade6.co.uk on the website (and they responded with initially) and trade6x@live.co.uk via Paypal. I'll escalate it now!

I meant is there any physical address ? Apologies.
  • Nope, no address on Paypal. There was only the Bognor address and phone number listed on the "shop" website. I just spotted a phone number on Paypal and it seems to be based in Malta's capital... Wish me luck with Paypal!!!

That sounds about right, I was wondering if they were UK based. You should be fine with Paypal.

Lets see what WHOIS comes up with when they reveal the site details
  • Fingers crossed. Yes I will be interested to see what crops up! Thanks for the help.

They hide there details in who s which is also against Nominet rules I would avoid most sites if they wanted to conceal there details

Totally agree, one of the first thing I always check with .co.uk.

Nominet confirm the details will be available in 7 days, seems they have changed their process now as I recall it was pretty much immediate before. They would reveal them and make them aware.

I reported another site to Nominet a week ago. They replied to me within a couple of hours saying that they would write to the registrar and registrant asking for the site to be updated to meet the opt-out criteria and that if that wasn't done the domain would be opted in.

Just checked it today and the site is now opted in, so it does look like it now takes them 7 days.

After googling about trade6 I am gutted to find this thread. I believe I have been scammed too! For an ipad of all things. I paid for it on my credit card using paypal so am now going to start the process of trying to get my money back.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatfully recieved.

I reported a certain "THIS IS A RIP OFF" site and Nominet agreed with me and made the whois update immediate.

Maybe your "Im doin diz for da monkey saving expurt fourumz" delayed them
