If you're not able to deep fry it, would it work if you folded it then spritzed it with oil & either dry fried it, grilled it or perhaps portioned it up to go into a toaster pocket?0

Almost the right time of year for deep fried cream eggs - saw them in England, but didn't try one!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
They dont use frozen pizza, thats why yours didnt work! You need to buy the extremely cheap plastic wrapped pizzas that look like the topping is painted on and bone dry.
And I have lived in Glasgow all of my life, and have never seen a deep fried mars bar......we don't actually live on fried food from the chippie here, not quite sure how anyone could afford to with the price of a fish supper!RIP Iain

I was born and brought up in Glasgow and I love the odd fried pizza as a treat :j
Oh and Edwardia I am five foot nine and eight and a half stones, I am pretty fit and healthy so less of the stereotype please. It is foolish in the extreme
And I have NEVER seen fried chocolate bars :eek:0 -
I agree with jools. I have worked in a scottish chippy. I did go to a chippy when I visited England, they didn't have loads of stuff! The woman was really snappy when i asked for king rib / pizza, didnt bother asking if they did haggis. Settled on sausage and it wasnt even battered
All different.

My kids love a pizza crunch (battered) with cheese, chips and curry sauce *puke* Needless to say they don't get it very often! I've personally never tried it, but battered mars bars are really nice with ice cream4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

You get deep fried pizza in Scotland because of the Italian immigrants who came to Scotland, started up chip shops and adapted the Italian deep fried pizza to the Scottish chippy.0

I have never heard of this before! Wouldn't the bread soak up oil like a sponge?0

yes.... Unless it's battered, then the batter soaks it up like a sponge. My kids tell me it's very good but I still can't bring myself to think about it lol4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Chippy,s here in the NW of Ireland will deep fry just about everything if you ask, but then there are very close ties with Scotland here.
However as a Londoner living here, I miss a pie. Can't get a peter's or pukka pie for love nor money
I got all excited when I saw pastie for sale, but it wasn't Cornish, was a battered deep fried something
But omg, the chips here, to die for :j0
