Hi all,
me and my family currently use a 3 mobile broadband stick plugged into a wireless router for internet access, my wife is going to be work freelance soon and we could really do with some proper stable broadband.
only thing is my credit rating is awfull my wifes is a little better but, still not great. We dont have a home phone or anything installed at the moment. so my question is are there any options for me which dont involve a credit check? (I`m sure this has been answered before so apologies if it has been covered) I have previously tried to go with the post office but as I suspected I failed the credit check so havnt tried anywhere else until i`m sure id get through.
Thanks

Pretty sure any "credit" checks are just to validate your details.
I've had bad credit for as long as I can remember and have never been turned down phone and broadband from BT, O2 and Sky. I've just ordered Talk Talk and it went through fine and I've still got 1 default on my file. In the days of BT I had 6 defaults.0 -
I have a CCJ and I think 3 defaults, and I was turned down for post office broadband, so this is why I dont want to do another especially if they are not using it just for identification purposes.0

Ah, maybe the CCJ is the issue then. I've never had one of those.0

but, looking at the forums people are saying they get accepted onto BT when they are bankrupt. so just dont know!0

my credit is shocking but i got talktalk no bother
BT wanted £100 deposit returnable after 6 months i think it was

End of the day, if you're credit file is trashed, it makes no difference how many times it is searched.
Buy your phone and broadband, the worst they can say is no.0 -
Mine are all defaults no CCJs or Bankruptcy etc.Sealed pot challenger # 10

ive got really bad credit history and am in arguments with sky and 3 at the moment and am looking for broadband ect, which ones dont do credit checks at all0
-
Any company potentially giving you credit is likely to credit check you...why would they not?No free lunch, and no free laptop0
-
Settle the arguments first. They wouldn't be arguments involving non payment would they? No point peeing off a 3rd provider when you can't pay them either.0
