  • Good morning everyone :)

Dreadful weather this morning, car was covered in ice and then thick fog all the way on the motorway.

Salmon and vegetable stirfry for dinner tonight and lunch is on the company as we have a lunchtime meeting.

I filled the bins to overflowing last night with useless clutter and have another 5 bags for Oxfam and made a nice little pile for ebay too. But I can't find a book I have sold on Amazon so may have to cancel and offer a grovelling apology to the buyer, as I suspect it is on a book shelf in Oxfam.

Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need them or just want them. I may need a few myself soon as I have just received my date to go into hospital for more surgery.

Keep warm and safe and have a super day :)

Hi all – 'scuse me *cough cough splutter splutter *

Healing vibes to all who need them today – you know who you are, it'd be a long list to type out all the names, I reckon.:(

Cold's still here – I think another Hot Toddie will be on the cards tonight. After that, I've no more lemons til the F&V run at the weekend.

Kezlou some people are born users, and you only discover this when you are in need. With friends like that, you don't need enemies.

Julie safe flight home; make sure you have a warm coat to hand for when you arrive back in the UK!;)

I had some good news yesterday – an email asking if I'd like Jessie to come and stay from Friday til Monday.:T She's a gi-normous Black Labrador with dodgy back legs and an over-active tail; she's stayed with us several times before, and is an absolute joy, even if she does dislodge the fridge magnets with amazing regularity.:D I have the Wychw00d "Lager Boy" poster on the bottom half of the fridge-freezer, held in place with six magnets - it's these that Jessie gets with her tail.:D

This will mean, of course, that hoovering will be a waste of time this weekend. Makes more sense to do it Monday afternoon, after Jessie's gone home.;)

Ooh, I just remembered, the cake tin's empty. Mr LW's wfh tomorrow, so I'll make something then - possibly some Mince Spies, or maybe cherry'n'coconut buns. Hmmmm.... decisions, decisions.....:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

DD is over the moon because Mr Tax man sent her a refund :)
DD is painting her bedroom at the moment, she just has the feature wall and glossing left to do, I just heard a squeal when she opened the paint we got for her, she says it is like crushed berries. She is only doing one wall with that and the other three walls are white.

afternoon all had a constant stream of men through my front door today first the builder Keith who is a sweetheart,he is working so hard to make my bathroom look good bless him, then the stair lift man arrived albeit about 2 hours late but he too did what he had to and no more climbing the stairs on my hands and knees at last :)Then the d/glazing chap arrived and fixed my front door which had worked a bit loose, hense the leak when it rained ,and then Dennis the plasterer who came and looked, and will return on Saturday morning to plaster the walls and skim the ceiling in the bathroom before Keith does the tiling next week.He was lovely and so polite bless him.I will definitely be the talk of the road with all these chaps in and out all day :):)
DD went for the interviews but the first had 22 applicants so she doesn't think she will get through on that one and the second, she hasn't rung me yet, so I don't know whats happened there.
Tonight I am going to have ham egg, chips and tomatos for dinner as I fancy something quick and easy to make.NSD again for me (far too busy making tea for all the gentleman callers :):))
Hope you've all had a good day Snow is supposed to be on its way for the weekend I'm not looking forward to that I hate the stuff as it really does keep me indoors .
    take care all

Hugs for Molly, MM, Jools, Judi & anyone else in need.
    LW, hae fun with Jessie.
Managed 9 hours at work yesterday & then babysat for DD as she had to work & I managed 9 hours again today, I feel ok apart from lacking any sense of smell or taste.
We are having a skirt purge at work as the pupils are wearing them shorter & shorter, so parents are having to come in & collect their DD's or bring in a longer skirt, boy is it going down wel.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

HH - Bet the parents are really pleased!
LW - Jessie sounds like fun!
JackieO - We're all talking about you and the workmen!

Busy day at work again, then went for a swim. Stir fry chicken with noodles for tea, washing will go on the airers when we've tidied dinner away. Not much else happening.

    Take care. XX
  • Hey everyone

Hester - skirt purging sounds like a brilliant plan, I see more of the teenagers legs at school than I ever needed to!

Today's been busy, was at work at 7 and then ran a catch up session for my GCSE kids after school. Done an hour or so on the WiiFit as well, feel the need for a biccy now ;)

Nice quiet evening now, got a load of washing to sort and a bit of baking to do, ready for the weekend, then should be an early night :)

Hope everyone had a lovely day

    ;) :rotfl:hehe!

I've had a lovely day. As the sun was shining, me and my friend decided to go to the seaside. We went to Tenby which is about 45mins away, a nice little seaside village. Had chips and battered veggie sausage sitting next to the sea, and a nice wander round. But I'm shattered now, so need to rest tonight.

I did go to cinema last night too, but Les Mis was full, despite us having allocate freebie tickets, so they offered us free tkts to see another film. We chose Playing For Keeps as it was starting then, not a bad film! And we got to sit in the posh seats too! :)

OS wise - HM cake and coffee taken on daytrip, salady bits for tea. Not much else sorry :o

    Have a good evening all

Just wondering how long your windows update took, Miffy.

I seem to have big problems with my windows update. It's stalled at update 10 of 14........ That was two and a half hours ago.

I've posted on the techie board, but as yet, not much real guidance. I'm just hoping a miracle will happen and it'll sort itself out.

Otherwise I'll have to get help in, which will be a bit of a pain.

I do like computers, but hate it when they don't work properly.
