Thank goodness you acted quickly and got the help you needed Part Mouse and I'm so glad Shovel Lad saw your post. I've been out today but I've been thinking about you and hoping that you would get it checked out asap so I'm really glad to hear you're ok and the boiler is cut off and getting looked into.
It's so terribly sad you lost your little birds - I'm sure you will miss them very much, but it sounds like they may have saved your life.
Thinking of you xx0 -
When you've recovered enough, it would be a good idea to amend the title and the opening post as it seems that the nut bell wasn't responsible for your birds' deaths.
It sounds as if you've had a lucky escape. If it wasn't for your birds being affected so quickly, you might not be here today.0 -
If it turns out to not have been the boiler, perhaps teflon poisoning could have been the cause? No idea if you even use anything containing it such as non-stick cookware, but the fumes are lethal to birds and their sensitive systems.0

Oh my word this is shocking!
Poor birds! But it does seem they may have saved your life.
Thanks to Shovel Lad and to MB, I've been thinking about getting a CM alarm and this has just been the decider. Getting one from Argos tomorrow.0 -
Carbon Monoxide alarm on my shopping list for tomorrow.
Hope you are OK Part Mouse0
