Just been to tesco.com to investigate and here is a link stating the 1000 point offer on their website: http://www.tescofinance.com/personal/finance/savings/savings/apply.jsp
Looks like a good deal to me! Thanks to MSE I do have a grand lying about this year so I think I'll get it to earn a quick £40 worth of deals for me... what with this and the extra points vouchers from the discounts board I'll be getting a free holiday from Tesco by this time next year! ;-)0 -

Is there any need to be so rude considering I am trying to help people benefit from this offer. Do you see a referral link, do I earn from this.
Be nice!
Yes, well said.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
I opened an account when this offer was on last year and then closed it straightaway. Wonder if they would allow me to open one again.......or maybe thats being a bit greedy is it?0

Unless you are estranged you'll only get one lot of points though:
¹The 1,000 Clubcard Points promotion is restricted to one account per household

hubbie and I opened one each last year and both got points surely if you both have a tescos clubcard it's a bit mean to stop one of you getting the points isn't it? Have they changed the terms and conditions?0 -

EDIT: Just looked 5.25% - not brilliant.
The 5.25% rate only applies to £50000+ balances. It's only 4.1% for balances between £1 and £29990 -
