Mis sold Flights - Please help if you can

There's no way that I would take the word a guy in a call centre of a 3rd party booking agent. Their job is to sell you the tickets not to offer visa advice. Your flights weren't "mis-sold" as they got you from A to B as advertised.
It's one of those things you have to up down to experience. When travelling things can (and do) go wrong so you have to be prepared to go with the flow and not let it ruin your trip. At least you have a good story to tell of the "time we spent 9 hours in Vietnam and didn't leave the airport"0
