JSo Johnnytwostep works in a adult book shop. That explains everything, as does the cartoon with regards to his working practices.

The above cartoon is pretty apt considering how much time Johnny spends "at work" posting juvenile drivel.

Although it might make things difficult for a few weeks, I think that getting benefit monthly is going to be easier for us as most of our bills have to be paid monthly, at the moment it can be tricky to manage. I do have 2 concerns though:

    1) I've heard that for some people there will be 'advance payments' to cover the period between getting last payment under current system and first monthly payment. This will have to be paid back though at so much a month.

    2) How will they decide what day of the month you get paid? We have to pay our rent on 7th of the month so if they put us getting paid at the end then we could have problems even if we get the 'advance payments'.

I can understand why they're making payments monthly though. Some people will find it really hard to manage such as those with learning difficulties, also people with alcohol/drug problems.

How on earth do you see paying monthly is easier? what about people like me on pre-payment meters for gas and electric :(

I do budget with my money at the moment but I am dredding this when it comes into force

dont need them, just go out in my car and girls flock to me

    Like I said, a sheep!
  • as long as when the money runs out after the first day the JCP dont give them any more money. They will learn quickly how to manage in the real world where you cant ask your boss for a bit more money as you have run out before payday.

I think this is not good news. There will be plenty of people such as those with addictions getting the months payment and blowing it all by the end of the first week. Some people will do the exact same with their rent if it's paid directly to them rather than the landlord and then what? Got out shoplifting or whatever for the rest of the month, put more pressure on the under funded charities, lose homes?

Make you wonder if the crime bill would rocket form drug users robbing innocent peoples homes to score a fix or the crime bill in overcrowded prisons from people sent down for robbery Ect, Just a idea could happen if the scenario you mentioned in your post was true
