British Gas - expensive
Hi
My partner is in the forces and owns a house up north, british gas have been charging him £80 a month for gas only, in the beginning part of 2012 he was only home every other weekend and in the last six months he has been home 3 times totally 6 days, the central heating has not been on while he isn't there only the water coming on once a day to make sure the pipes didn't freeze
he went to cancel British gas as he is moving out a presumed he would get a nice big credit as there is no way he could have used £960 of gas, and yet they said he was only intitled to a £40 credit.
Has anyone else had any problems like this with british gas???

The most important thing here is the readings. Were his bills estimated or have they all be done to actual readings? If actual then he has used that amount of gas. If estimated did he have true reading when he moved in otherwise he may be paying for the previous persons usage.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

When did he last give them an ACTUAL meter reading?
BG can only go by actual meter readings. They don't just 'make it up'.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
