That's insane, you must make a lot of moneyI only have three current accounts and and feel like it's too much for my meagre income.
Barclays - salary paid in, this is also my main account for 'disposable' spending (along with CCs)
Halifax Reward - mortgage and insurance direct debits
First Direct - all other direct debits0 -
Hi, I don't know if I'm in the correct thread here (but, Yorkshire Boy and Innovate et. al. know soooo much
- I just love you guys) they may be able to help. I've got 3 x Halifax Reward Accounts and duly made sure that they have the required 2 x dds attached. This month only one £5 reward went into one of them. I've just come back from the bank, to get the other two accounts re-instated (as in 'where's my fivers?') only to be told that I can only have 1xReward account and the other two are no down graded into ordinary accounts. All that hassle setting up savings accounts with DDs has been for nought !! Any advice and ideas of how I can get my Rewards back would be greatly appreciated

@Dru2: it says somewhere on the Halifax website that you can only have one Reward acccount, if I'm not mistaken.0

Thanks for your reply alecsa. I think I'm asking if those of us who managed to bag three reward account (back in the day) have also managed to still bag the fivers this month. There was a thread in January advising all of us to make sure we had 2 x dds set up in order to satisfy the reward conditions. It seems many were doing just that. I realise that new customers can only have one reward account but, have the down-graded everyone's else's 'historic' multiple Reward accounts. I've been searching the forum this afternoon to see if there is any news on this from others.Just changing my signature here !!:D0

Hi Atlantis187, May I ask if you only have 2 x dds going out of these accounts monthly and, that you don't do anything else with these accounts?. As Yorkshire Boy taught me (all those years ago) I pay in the minimum trigger amount by SO (and back out again) and have 2 x dd paying out monthly into savings accounts. I think I've met the criteria or, do Halifax now want us to use our accounts for many other payments. If you are using your accounts minimally!! (to get the reward), it's back to the halifax branch for me to argue the point.Just changing my signature here !!:D0

Are your DDs going to two different organisations?0

Hi innovate, Good to talk to you after following you for so many years. Yes, the dds are 1x Santander savings account and 1 x Tesco Saver account. Small amounts but, defo paid out monthly. I'm a bit miffed to be singled out by Halifax , for a downgrade on two of my Reward accounts when others on here seem to be getting them no problem. Actually, I'm glad you are all getting your Rewards. I'm just annoyed for myself, that's all.Just changing my signature here !!:D0
