O2 recycle problem - can anyone help?

Hi everyone,
At the end of November 2012, I sent my iPhone 4 to O2 recycle as they offered me £140 for my phone. I sent my phone by recorded delivery and safely packaged in bubble wrap as instructed on their website.
I received an email a couple of days later stating that my phone had a cracked screen and cosmetic damage so they would only offer me £91 for my phone. They informed me that I had 72 hours to accept or reject the offer.
I rejected the offer within 24 hours of receiving the email because my phone had no cracks or cosmetic damage ( I always keep my phone in a case and I always look after my phone.)
Then to my surprise £91 was paid into my bank account from O2!
I had contacted O2 recycle numerous times since about this, the first time I contacted them I was told they would have a look into this and hopefully they would be able to get my phone back. They never got back in touch with me, so I contacted them again and was told that they would look into it again as someone else was dealing with my problem. That was the last time I have heard from them. They are not returning any of my emails or phone calls.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of what I can do to solve this problem?
Thanks for any help

O2 Recycling quoted me just over £30 for my phone. On receipt today they have now offered £0, stating the phone will not switch on or hold a charge. This is inaccurate. The phone was sent to them in full working order and fully charged. I am currently waiting to hear back from them. I'm not very happy.0

Just before Xmas I recycled an HTC Incredible S with O2 (took it in store) initially offered £95 which was reduced to £85.50 due to cosmetic damage, which I was expecting.
Took very little time and I was very pleased with the service.
As for the OP, write to them recorded so you have proof of your correspondence.0 -
Sent a Sony Xperia phone valued at £23 on 27/12. Normal post but got proof of posting. After 2 weeks of nothing I chased up with emails with no response and the phone line keeps ringing and eventually goes onto answerphone. Looking at the site they use all of o2's graphics and logos but is operated by Redeem Ltd. I phoned their number on the website and got through straight away. Was told phone not received and basically tough. Appears they handle loads of other company's recycled phones. Maybe just a huge backlog with people recycling after Xmas..... maybe so but service they provide is not good.0

OP, as they have now no doubt recycled your phone - surely they will be looking to pay you the full amount as they cannot return your property?
Have you rung them or just having the conversation over email?0 -
Ive used o2 twice and used price matches, very happy with them0

Hi everyone,
I have still not heard anything from O2 recycle, I have sent a letter (with print outs of all email correspondence) by recorded delivery, I email them every day and have rang them by phone numerous times.
I am just being ignored (they just hang up the phone on me).
This is getting past a joke now, I've even tried contacting O2 to see if they could help.
Does anyone know what legal rights I have regarding this matter?
Thank you for any advice given0 -
