Lloyds TSB - Credit Card and missing records!

Hi,

Can anyone please advice with what my next step is with Lloyds TSB.

I have written to Lloyds three times and each time have included copies of statements that date back to 2001 in which it clear shows that I did have PPI. All three times Lloyds have sent a standard letter that states, "We have searched our records extensively and can not see that you ever took out PPI".
I have orginal statements going back to 2001 which clearly shows that I did have PPI and have already submitted these to Lloyds but they are still refusing on the basis that they have no record.

Do I have to take this to the FOS or can I esclate within Lloyds as it crazy that I am sending in original statements and yet they are still saying they have no record.

Any help welcomed.

If you want the ombudsman to take any complaint, then you must follow the organisations complaint procedure fully.

You then either have to allow at least 8 weeks or get a deadlock letter from that organisation before the ombudsman will investigate.

Did you know there is a whole board dedicated to reclaiming PPI and other insurance?

This board is for reclaiming bank and credit card charges.
Do you have any of those you require help in recovering?
  • Thanks and will repost.

In reference to Bank Chargers, I have over £2K in charges that I wish to reclaim back from Lloyds and Nationwide but again have come up against a brickwall.

When they say financially hardship, what does this means, is it a case of that you are broke at the end of each month etc or your debt out weighs your income.

    Thanks

Lots of online resources here about what financial hardship means

Simply being broke at the end of the month or your debt outweighs your income probably means you have just spent too much ;)
