Ha! I had a guy who won an item for £4.50 and the postage was £1.50. I received an email from him which said, "Let's do a deal, I'll give you £3 for the item and 50p for postage".0

I had a NPB who started with a similar line...."I post a lot and am sure your P+P relates to another item will you reduce the P+P"......cheeky bu**ers.
The funniest thing was on checking their feedback they had all their negatives for overcharging on P+P....lol0 -
I had simular from a real chancer. Basically they wrote and said they had been stuck in traffic and missed the end of my sale, would I consider selling to them for £32 including packaging. The starting bid was £35 and postage was £5. To add insult to injury they signed the email 'lots of love Nicki and Gary x'. Of course I wrote a ncie email back telling them sorry but I had sold the item for more already, but thanks anyway!!
This stuff must work on some people, otherwise people wouldnt try it would they!!!0 -
To be honest I am a bit of a sucker from a cheeky approach, if it makes me smile I'll knock of 5%-10%.
But only if they try it before the end of the sale!!!!!!0 -

Here's some updates:
After I offered a discount if he paid via bank transfer:
"Yes that would be fine and would ieally like 1st class recorded ... Will pay you via Paypal if thats ok (thats a bank transfers isn't it?)"
After I explained about bank transfers (or thought I had anyway) :
"Sorry only can do Paypal not a big fan of my and other bank acc's being made public"
After saying what the total amount would therefore be (ie the amount he agreed to purchase it at):
"Why so much more for pay pal? ... Can we agree a lower price still"
I'm now awaiting a reply after explaining the breakdown of the postage cost and that it wasn't "so much more for pay pal" but a discount I had offered him for bank transfer (and explaining it again)
stupid, stupid buyer

haha. I sold a camera not long ago, and in the list of specifications, under system requirements it said "150MB free hard disk space" & the guy e-mailed me saying he'd received the camera, but I'd forgotten to include the free 150MB hard disk haha0

ok here's some more:
"OK, sorry, £**.** pay pal, send me invoice and will pay tonight"
The **** was not the same as the price he agreed to purchase at. Sent an invoice for the actual original price and got this back:
"Thanks for invoice, but did you not get my last mail, happy to pay **** for product and **** in p and p"
Is this guy a complete idiot?! Just sent an email offering 3 options:
pay up original price through paypal
pay up with £2 discount via bank transfer
get a NPB alert and a strike
Something tells me I'm going to get a very unfair neg. for this :mad:0 -
I feel for ya stavros. I'd be surprised if they even pay with all of the fuss they are making. Some buyers are just an annoyance and no matter how hard you try, you always losestavros wrote:Something tells me I'm going to get a very unfair neg. for this
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -
ok here's the latest one:
"£** pay pal??
Just keeping it simple, to be honest you mislead a lot of people with the free delivery, then followed by collect in person bit.
Not a big deal, can go down that road of bad bidder etc works both ways as if buying am happy to post positve feedback as I normally do. I do not belive you are conning anyone just initally thought pastage was free. Know next time to read thoroughly.
Have had bad payers before myself and know they carry on quite happily trading.
Look forward to your reply."
what do you think I should do? Don't want to be threatened into bringing p&p down, so thinking I should not bother replying and just file NPB in a week, but I have 100% feedback and don't want a neg to be honest
*sigh* 0
