Back track a minute! Where did you authorise the current iPhone? On your daughters computer? On your computer? Where? Also, was there a device (i.e. another iphone) authorised with your computer before?.....I would actually of deauthorised it from your current computer, done the uninstall, then reinstall and then the reauthorisation.

under my account details currently it states 2 devices
as I have tried so many times to uninstall old & reinstall new etc
previously I know for sure I had my previous iphone listed as well as my new (replacement iphone) these where listed under iphone name and the date when registered/activated (1 being June 2012, the other being the most recent one)
however as I have uninstalled & reinstalled so many times, during this I have deleted the first iphone from my devices***
since doing this I followed the GEEKS how to etc (and thought it had worked, until I connected the phone)
currently under my devices in account settings, I now have 2 devices listed
1 x iphone (04.Jan.2013)
1 x Windows PC (05,Jan.2013) ????
what I can't understand is every time I reinstall itunes on my troublesome laptop, I always get all the apps that have been downloaded listed in the libary under apps
yet on my daughters laptop and on my notebook (taking into account itunes very rarely gets used on these) apps are no where to be seen ??? is this correct
I wasn't sure as whether to delete my previous phone incase I lost some apps etc, however after so many attempts I have finally done that
To be honest my head been spinning with all this, bearing this in mind I just connect the iphone to the notebook & daughters laptop opened itunes and hey presto, I never had to authorise or anything like that, I was just so chuffed to see it on the side panel, never thought about anything else
hope this makes sense

Thanks for the help0 -
I can understand your frustration, I have had similar problems, not wanting to hijack your thread but I cannot get support to call me, they keep sending emails saying they are calling me and it's the wrong phone number, it isn't and it works for everyone else.
Anyway I hope you can get it sorted.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -

to be fair I've got a lot more assistance from MSE forum than I did from apple support forum
always knew MSE would help me out
not sure where your from, but can you take your laptop/PC to a apple shop, thats what I'm thinking about if all else fails ???0 -
No, it's a long way from here, do you know I even emailed them to say they were ringing me to say the number was wrong, they rang me to discuss it and guess what?Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

I'll send you a pm, with a website for the CEO of company's etc

send an email to the CEO of Apple and see what happens0 -

The apps won't be seen on anyones computer unless you are signed into YOUR own apple account (apple id and password).
Do other softwares recognise your iPhone?
Is the service running?
Under Computer >> Manage >> Services and applications >> services there should be an iPhone Mobile device service listed. See if it is running. If not, double click on it to restart it.
Also, did you check that there are no driver issues by looking at Device Manager? Anything with a yellow exclamation mark means problems!

Don’t understand this, as on the Notebook & daughters laptop, when I connect iphone to itunes it appears to show “NO” apps in the LIBRARY even though I as signed into my itunes account on either computer, however on the problematic laptop no matter how many times I have uninstalled and reinstalled an new version I always get all the apps displayed in the LIBRARY in my newly installed itunes ???

What other software do you mean, I assume it does as I have noticed the new drivers being installed a numbers of times when connecting to one of my 3 usb connections

Checked everything appears to be fine and working ok, no obvious signs of issues

In Device manger the iphone is listed under Portable devices (is this correct ???) there is nothing listed under any usb for iphone ???
When running a diagnostic test on the troublesome itunes, every time it appears to bring NO Ipod/Ipad/Iphone found, under device connectivity0 -
just to update this thread, still can not get itunes to pick up/connect to my iphone
however several more uninstalations and reinstallations of Itunes, tonight I have actually got a completely clean install of Itunes (with no previous apps or music) not sure why or how but the last install I did I found I had no old apps within itunes, then tonight I have had another go using dogmaryXX
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/23959/completely-remove-itunes-and-other-apple-software-from-a-windows-computer/
as for some time now after running a diagnostic test through itunes, it always comes back stating NO IPHONE/IPAD/IPOD FOUND
a further point to this may be the details found on the diagnostic report
No FireWire (IEEE 1394) Host Controller found.

**** Device Sync Tests ****

No iPod, iPhone or iPad found
any one shed any light on this ???
