Windows 8 EE Bright Box issues

I have broadband through Orange, now EE, have have been using it with no problems for a few months. We recently bought a Windows 8 laptop, it found the wireless signal, we enter the passcode and it's been working fine.
I then decided to edit a setting on the router (Bright Box) and tried to go to 192.168.1.1 but the webpage wouldn't open, the loading symbol just kept spinning. I've tried Firefox, Chrome and IE same problem.
I tried my old XP laptop and it finds the page fine and allows we to login and change settings.

I've tried factory reseting the Bright Box - no difference
I've tried ipconfig /flushdns - no difference

I replaced the Brightbox with an old Huawei EchoLife HG520b and that works fine on both the XP and Windoews 8 Laptops.

Anyone had any similar experiences or can offer and help?
Thanks,
Brian.
