The one in the top right that sits next to the alarm that points at about 1/2 O'clock
Woke up this morning to see it on & it's been on all day. I have no apps open, i've even turned the iPhone off & back on again.
What's this all about?

Its not the screen rotate is it? thats the only one i can think of...it stops the screen from rotating..you can turn it off and on
its an icon like a @ sign but as a padlock in the middle
if it is double click the home button...at the bottom scroll to the right you will see the icon there that lets you turn it off and on.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
Nope, it's the location symbol. The same you get when the phone is tracking your location such as in google maps. A purple triangle if you will, that's slanted to about 1 or 2 O'clock.0

may be you have give an app permission to follow you
Have you looked under the privacy setting?
you can turn the location services off.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
Go into settings - privacy - location services and a list of apps are shown that have accessed location services, anything still current will have the purple triangle next to it, anything that has been in use in the last 24 hours is grey, anything using a geofence (like telling Siri to remind you of something when you leave home) is a purple outline triangle.
You should be able to work out what is still on.====0 -
It will be an app that uses Location Services, when it happened to me it was Flock. It's probably one you've recently installed. As above, check which apps are using Location Services and switch the rogue one off.0

No new app. An old app had somehow changed settings.
Turned out to be My Data Manager.0
