  • They need to get better staff -- I think it id really important to have staff that are helpful and considerate We do spend enough money in supermarkets!!!! You are not going to make a story up about a loaf of bread after all.

Please also remember that staff are acting under loads of policies given to them from higher up in the company.

There's no excuse for being rude to customers but it isn't always possible to fully satisfy the customer.

Bread is occasionally mouldy on the shelves of our Sainsburys. I point it out to a member of staff who apologises and removes it but I have seen recurrances. Don't want to touch it long enough to check if it was in/out of date I just avoid our Sainsburys bread. Although I have seen them checking for bread to be reduced and creating piles on the floor first thing in the morning, I assume the floor is cleaned overnight?

I work for Sainsburys and if you had come to me I`d of given you another loaf and a refund and a smile :D

I`ve had to remove loads of mouldy bread still in date, this is due to where it was packaged.Sometimes bread is wrapped and sealed when it is still warm,so you get condensation in the bag, plus warmth, usually due to bad storage which activates mould.

I`m one of Sainsburys better staff who look at it from the point if I bought this myself would I want it refunding, damn right I would!!!

As for it being a loaf of bread I`m sure it wouldn`t of hurt their sales target and waste budget too much to give you a loaf even if you couldn`t prove that you bought it from their store.
