    I would avoid going through Miami like the plague.

    If you have to change change in the uk. No need to go through US immigration then.

    virgin from gatwick are quite reasonable. They should be the refurbed 747s as well. If you fancy splashing out 3k will get you return upper class at the mo for 2 people with their sale!

    I would also avoid Miam, says me who is overnighting in Miami in a couple of weeks - that was to avoid a 3 hours transfer from Kingston to Montego Bay as BA don't fly to Montego Bay direct.

    Apart from the horror stories I've read about Miami immigration etc, you would also need an ESTA at a cost of US$14 each, even if you only transit & don't overnight.....
