Samsung S3 and "about:blank" webpage

When I go on the internet on my S3 I have an empty "about:blank" page.

Even after setting up Sky News as my home page, the internet still opens to this blank page which I can't seem to exit as I would any other web page. I can open another web page and carry on browsing but there is always one blank page behind.

Does anyone elso get this and if so how do I get rid of it. Or is it just something that comes with the S3?

In the browser try menu >> windows
Close all windows and you'll get to your home page.

Tried to do this but there is no "windows" under the menu button to select. Under menu you get, new window, add bookmark, share page, find on page, desktop view etc but no windows. I can minimise the "about:blank" window and click on the dash to close it, like I would all other webpages, but it just reappears.
