If you dont like it, dont bid, then it cannot effect you in anyway! No need to report to anybody as it isnt doing YOU any harm!
  • Why shouldn't we report him? He's breaking the rules and possibly scamming people in the process. Let me remind you what has already been said on this thread many times.

You pay 99p for an item with £25 p+p. The item arrives and is faulty. The seller says he'll give you a refund and refunds you 99p!! You paid £25 for post and packing which probably cost a hell of a lot less. Thus being ripped off!

You sound quite angry at the thought of reporting him vinny67o, can I ask, do you sell on ebay?

I do sell on ebay, and I have never used this method!!

I am not angry, I am just saying if you do not like what this person is doing then simply dont bid on there item. It is not effecting your life at all! Y be a snitch just because someone is more than likely just avoiding ebay fee's, If you do wish to bid on the item, maybe a simple email to them concerning p+p refund also could be done!

Bottom line is I dont like people grassing, and it seems to me that if it isnt effecting you then there is no need to be a snake!!

And there was me thinking it was about looking out for each other, making sure no-one gets ripped off or scammed. Silly me. Lets just stick to looking out for ourselves and stuff everyone else eh? :j
And if anyone sells anything to the little old lady and rips her off, well it must be her own fault for not realising. Silly old lady.
Yes let's help these "lovely" sellers with no morals make more money by fleecing buyers and avoiding rules. Lets not report them.
And if I ever see anyone break into your house or mug your gran, I won't "grass" because I wouldn't want to be a snake and it wouldn't be affecting me would it?

Have you ever considered why you are paying far higher EBay fees this year, than you were last year? ..... If you haven't, the answer is in your post. ;)

I agree with lady_noluck we have a moral obligation to protect those people that aren't as worldly wise as we are - 'snitching' and 'grassing' are words used by children and criminals and not by adults who are protecting others.

E-bay should be looking for these scammers themselves but as they aren't, then I have no problem in reporting them, along with those selling counterfeit goods like all the Tiffany jewellery thats claimed to be 100% genuine - who has that much Tiffany jewellery to get rid of? And if its genuine, why are some of them selling the empty bags, pouches and care cards?
  • I agree that sellers like all of the above should not be allowed to trade. However if the average Joe is reporting people then just how good have eBay got it? Although you might say its a drop in the ocean, but how do you know the amount of item listings that are being reported. If everybody stopped reporing listings and let ebay become even worse than it is, then perhaps they would face increased competition. On the other hand, Ebay could create a dedicated department to ensue all practice is legit, lets face it they could afford to! Ebay is becoming more like a cross between a dodgy car boot sale and a skip.
