Did anyone receive a muslin square? Got my order and noticed it wasn't included in the set (or mentioned on the box) but definitely was stated as part of the contents on the JL website. Called Customer Services to query it and they've credited me £5 as a goodwill gesture because the website description was clearly incorrect and shouldn't have listed the muslin! (I pointed out that they sell jam muslin squares separately for £5 and asked if they could send one to me - they couldn't, but they refunded me £5 so I can order one myself!)

Have to say, John Lewis service is second to none. I've ordered many times and this is the first time I've had to complain but they were more than happy to help and I'm more than happy with the outcome! Tbh I would've been happy enough with the rest of the contents for £9 but queried it on principal. :)

Might be worth taking a screen shot of the description on their website before the page disappears in case you're also missing the muslin and feel the need to query it.

Picked my reserved one up today but then noticed there was about 20 boxes of them near the entrance. This is in Leicester if anyone is local enough and needs one
  • OOS now, knew I shouldn't have dithered. Oh well maybe some more stock will appear, as if by magic!!!

Went into John Lewis in Glasgow today, had a look on off chance and there were about 20 or more sets of these. So managed to pick one up.

The jar lids and extra items were dearer than the online price, so didn't bother with those, but chuffed. I can fulfill one of my new year resolutions now.

The jam making sets are still available in store! JL Milton Keynes had quite a few. Shelf marked at around £12, but got them to check and scans through at £9.

Wasn't in my sets neither....I also emailed JL to see whether they could confirm the items I collected were correct as they were originally marked £30 (not£25) and there was no muslin square contained nor mentioned anywhere.....I received a response today confirming the set is correct however it should have the square in it....as it is incomplete, and they have no more available online they are refunding my order in full......

I am VERY pleasantly surprised with this response and think my jam will taste even sweeter!!! :j:j:j
  • Hi

Just wanted to let everyone know that John Lewis on Oxford Street still have some of these left on the lower ground floor. I know it's not convenient for everyone but hope it helps someone!
