What's Primus like with Xbox Live?

Boyfriend and I are moving into our first place (buying) at the beginning of next month so will be completely starting from scratch with all utilities. We have both been with Virgin Media via our parents from the beginning really and had hoped to sign up with them but unfortunately they're not available in the area we're moving to :(

Anyway, we'll be going with Sky for TV but in the past I've heard they were terrible for connecting to Xbox Live so can anyone tell me if Primus will be sufficient enough? Would be looking at either their Basic or More broadband and calls packages and mainly interested due to the price as we're looking for phone and broadband.

Property is currently connected to BT for phone line only as current owner doesn't have broadband or digital TV.

Who told you Sky was terrible with Xbox Live? If Sky are unbundled on your exchange then they are one of the best for online gaming.

Check which ISP's are available to you here: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search

Thanks, Gordon, I will check that link. Let's just say I used to work for a well known gaming retailer a few years ago and Sky were well known at the time as being notoriously bad for connecting to Xbox Live. However, this was before they teamed up with Microsoft to offer Sky through the Xbox so I imagine things have changed.

Their Connect product maybe, but I've had Sky Broadband for 4 years and it's been great for online gaming.
  • O2 broadband is currently offering 3 free xbox games when you take their broadband, the first 6 months are free too. the games are Forza horizon, nike+kinect and nat geo kinect tv
